Senior Application Analyst – Ferrybridge

Job Summary

Reporting directly to the IT & PMO Director, the Senior Application Analyst is needed to increase the capacity within the team working alongside a colleague who is based in London. The expectation is that the 2 application analysts will job share, so they can provide cover during holidays and absence. This role will focus on operations (e.g. Maintenance, Operations, Health & Safety, Environment).

The role is responsible for providing proactive advice, guidance and support for our applications including both existing and new applications. This includes all line of business applications, business information and Office365/SharePoint/Flow developments.

This is a business facing technology role and will involve business analysis activity to understand the business processes to help design technology solutions and information needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • The A – Z of support activities, working with users and with third-party suppliers to ensure resolution of application issues
  • Application development and support
  • Implement enhancements in a controlled way to support business needs, working with the business to confirm requirements and ensure solutions are tested prior to release into production
  • Represent IT in project meetings where new systems are being proposed/implemented
  • Work as part of a project team to drive improvements to the use of technology to drive value from the investments
  • Project management of small-medium tasks/activities
  • Innovative and look at how new technologies can be used to drive value

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree level education
  • Experience of the following.
  • Business facing application analyst role
  • Working with Supply Chain/Operations teams
  • Knowledge of ERP solutions, ideally Dynamics 365 BC
  • Energy or manufacturing business
  • Other systems such as development, reporting/BI

PLEASE NOTE – This role will be predominately based in our North Facility, Knottingley, but travel will be expected to our other Facilities UK wide.
