Ferrybridge 1 and Ferrybridge 2 are two of the U.K.’s most efficient waste-to-energy facilities. Ferrybridge 2 is the sister facility to Ferrybridge 1, with each facility generating up to 85MW (gross) electricity to the National Grid. They each process 725,000 tonnes (together 1.45million) of post-recycled waste per annum, enough to meet the needs of up to 370,000 U.K. homes and businesses.
