Location: Ferrybridge with travel to other UK sites
Reporting to: IT Service Operations Manager

The role:
You will work closely with the enfinium IT team, key outsourcing partners, and all functional areas to deliver technology that enables the business to achieve their goals and strategy. You will understand relevant business processes, suggest continuous improvements and/or new initiatives that you will then help design, build, test and deliver technical solutions to the end-user. You will understand the importance of security, especially in an Operation Technology environment. This is a multi-faceted role that has many opportunities to explore new technologies.

The role you’d play

Working with the outsourced Service Delivery team, the Senior Infrastructure Analyst is responsible for the overall provision, support and evolution of connectivity solutions (data, audio, video), end user hardware & software across our organization and core infrastructure such as server and storage; the responsibility encompasses end to end design, build and support, with acute customer focus and a relentless drive to improve the end user experience and efficiency to enable our people to drive growth.

Solution and Project Delivery

  • Understand overall project methodology and how to work within a project environment.
  • Ensuring procedures related to identification, changes, testing, documentation, approval and communication of any modification to the system are followed.
  • Supervising the implementation of changes to the system, including those which have a multi-site or Operational Technology impact. Including active and positive adherence to enfinium’s change control.
  • To help deliver project tasks within agreed timescales and budget.
  • Be part of project teams and contribute to the planning and resourcing of project tasks where appropriate.
  • Identify technical solutions for problems, improvements and developments.
  • Ability to recognise and communicate implications of changes

Support and Service

  • Provide additional support, complementary to our outsourced Service Delivery, to the business in the day-to-day running of the operational business systems.
  • To support and maintain enfinium’s infrastructure and workplace solutions where relevant to a site or the wider business
  • To support the IT Service Operations Manager with regards to ad-hoc department activities.
  • To ensure our outsourced Service Delivery partner carry out system administration tasks as per documented procedures.
  • Work with regional and local stakeholders in implementing and supporting solutions.
  • Ensure physical infrastructure is monitored and reacted to alerts (hardware & OS).
  • Monitor usage of enfinium’s SaaS platforms, ensuring user licence availability, platform availability and application governance
  • Monitor enfinium’s email security platforms for potential issues and react accordingly
  • Implement security products such as anti-phishing products, DMARC, email security, multi-factor authentication, Single Sign On
  • Identify and adopt the wider suite of Office 365 products and services to leverage more value and collaboration across all sites
  • Ensure enfinium’s Office 365 tenancy is secure as per Microsoft best practice
  • Drive adoption of collaboration and communication tools and make recommendations accordingly
  • Evaluation of Infrastructure/application technical issues, in such a way that the calls are handled appropriately by the service desk and issues escalated to the IT Service Operations Manager in a timely manner.
  • Provide a technical escalation point for onsite IT Analysts and the outsourced service desk.

Team

  • Have the self-starter mentality to learn new technology in line with overall architecture direction
  • Provide technical mentoring and coaching to the onsite analysts
  • To support the IT Service Operations Manager with regards to ad-hoc department activities. 
  • Work in a ‘best endeavours’ manner to ensure that Project and Support commitments made to business users remain within agreed timescales.
  • Able to demonstrate energy, drive, enthusiasm, determination, and passion.

The must haves

Technology

  • 2nd – 3rd line troubleshooting
  • Fully conversant with On-Premise, Cloud and Hybrid infrastructure platform models
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint and Autopilot software deployment and laptop imaging
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint MDM
  • Advanced technical knowledge of Office 365 products on cross-platform
  • Some knowledge of Operational Technology environments an advantage
  • Sophos and Microsoft Defender Anti-Virus management
  • Logitech Teams meeting room solution support an advantage
  • Advanced Windows 10 desktop environments
  • Some knowledge of Microsoft Powershell scripting an advantage
  • Advanced SaaS Microsoft Security products
  • Advanced Microsoft Exchange Online Administration
  • Some Azure experience an advantage
  • SQL, Active Directory, Group Policy Administration and Management
  • All aspects of LAN/WLAN/WAN networking and hardware configuration, specifically Cisco and Meraki SD WAN.
